Reiki practitioner embracing reiki healing process

Reiki Cleansing Process

·

Trusting the Healing that unfolds after a Reiki Attunement, Placement, or Ignition

Being attuned to Reiki is not a single moment—it’s a doorway.

For many practitioners, the days and weeks following an attunement, placement, or ignition bring a period of energetic recalibration, often referred to as a Reiki cleansing / Reiki healing process, a healing integration phase, or even, in some practices, a Healing Crisis. This is a natural, intelligent process in which Reiki begins working through layers of the body, mind, emotions, and energy field—gently reorganizing what’s ready to shift.

At MAD REIKI, we view this phase not as something to “get through,” but as something to tend.

What Is a Reiki Cleansing?

A Reiki cleansing is your system finding a new rhythm.

As Reiki attunes you to a higher flow of life force energy, anything that’s misaligned, outdated, or ready to be released may rise to the surface. This can show up physically, emotionally, mentally, or energetically—and it looks different for every person.

None of this means something is “wrong.” It means Reiki is working—with precision, compassion, and respect for your free will.

You might notice:

  • Deep fatigue or a desire for more rest
  • Heightened emotions or vivid dreams
  • Old thought patterns coming into awareness
  • Temporary physical sensations as energy moves
  • A sense of clarity, spaciousness, or emotional lightness

How Long Does Reiki Cleansing Last?

There’s no fixed timeline.

Some people notice subtle shifts for a few days. Others experience layers unfolding over several weeks. Reiki continues to integrate long after the attunement itself—evolving as you do.

The key is not tracking progress, but staying present with the process.

Supporting Yourself Through the Reiki Cleansing Process

Integration is where healing becomes embodied

These gentle practices can help you stay grounded and supported as Reiki continues to flow:

Daily Self-Reiki: Place your hands on your body with presence and intention—even for a few minutes.

Rest Without Guilt: Fatigue is often a sign of deep internal reorganization. Honor rest as part of the healing, not a pause from it.

Energetic Boundaries: Setting energetic boundaries creates a sense of safety as your awareness expands.

When Emotions Surface

Sometimes Reiki healing opens emotional doors that have been quietly waiting.

If feelings arise—sadness, irritability, grief, joy—allow them space. These emotions are not setbacks; they are signals of release. Reiki brings compassion to the places that once needed protection.

You are not unraveling. You are repatterning.

Healing Isn’t Linear – It’s Intelligent

Reiki doesn’t force change. It responds to readiness.

During a cleansing phase, Reiki naturally prioritizes what will support your highest good right now. Sometimes that means soothing the nervous system. Other times it means illuminating habits, beliefs, or emotional patterns that are ready to be softened or released.

This process is rarely dramatic—but it is deeply intentional.

Trust what arises. Trust what rests. Trust what releases.
